“A very important day” for Felipe Massa

Felipe Massa is experiencing a moving moment today as the Brazilian is preparing to compete in his last Grand Prix with Ferrari after having lived eight seasons under his colors. The Paulist also bids farewell to the Prancing Horse in Sao Paulo, on his national circuit where he came close to the title in 2008. “The forecast calls for a chance of rain (up to 60%), but we have to prepare to face any conditions because we haven't competed a single lap in the dry. This will undoubtedly be a very exciting race for both drivers and spectators. All the energy they will offer will give me extra motivation to do well on a very important day for me. »

Despite the emotion aroused by the importance of this Grand Prix for Felipe Massa, the Brazilian is disappointed to only take ninth position on the grid at the end of qualifying contested in the rain. “It was a particularly difficult session with the changeable weather as the rain came down hard before suddenly stopping. I'm not happy with my time, believe me, I expected better but I lost time mainly in the second and third sectors. I am disappointed to have lost so many positions because I expected to start from a better place. All we can do now is think about having a good race. »

The start of the Brazilian Grand Prix will be at 17 p.m. Paris time and will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr. Photos of the tests can be found on this link.
