A new chance for Grosjean in Malaysia

Romain Grosjean was only able to salvage a tenth place finish at the Australian Grand Prix as teammate Kimi Räikkönen took the first victory of the season by adopting a two-stop strategy. The tricolor driver of the teamenstone is now looking forward to the next round this weekend at Sepang, hoping to have sorted out his problems. car which slowed him down in Melbourne. “This is probably my favorite circuit of the whole season. I raced there for the first time in 2008 in GP2 Asia and I really loved this circuit. I'm really looking forward to being there. (In Melbourne) the car felt so good at times over the weekend, but at other times it didn't respond the way I wanted it to. But I will talk with the engineers and work on the best way to progress for the upcoming race. We will do our best, as always. If the car is capable of getting a podium, then I want to get there. »

The Lotus driver arrived in the Sepang paddock with the desire to turn the page on Albert Park and aim for the best possible result by trying to exploit the potential of the E21 to the maximum. If the weather forecast still announces the risk of showers for this weekend, Romain Grosjean still hopes to stand out by obtaining a solid result after being trapped last year by the slippery track of the Grand Malaysian Prices. “Kimi's car did very well in Australia and the fact that mine was good at times sets the target for the set-up and is a guide to the possibilities of the car. I want to score 25 points in a Grand Prix for the team. I work very closely with my engineers to understand exactly what needs to be done to make the E21 perform at its best with me. Knowing that we are very close to getting the car to this point is, without a doubt, promising. We have made good progress in our performance in the rain, which we showed in difficult conditions in Australia. This means that I have confidence in our abilities to produce a good performance whatever the weather conditions. »
