A successful season for Piastri, happy to have reached a milestone

Everything is not perfect yet but Oscar piastri is undoubtedly one of the drivers who has progressed the most in this year 2024. After an encouraging rookie campaign in 2023, the Aussie has managed to raise his level of play and get a little closer to his teammate and vice-champion Lando Norris.
His figures are evidence of this progression which above all highlights his extreme regularity. Out of the 24 Grands Prix contested, he has only missed out on points once, in Miami where a collision with Carlos Sainz (found guilty) had made him fall in the rankings. Only the champion Max Verstappen and his runner-up Lando Norris have achieved a similar feat this season.
In addition to this consistency, Oscar Piastri also showed himself to be stronger in the race, notably with his first two victories. A first in Hungary unfortunately marred by the game of radios of McLaren. On the other hand, his second in Baku was full of authority, resisting for around thirty laps Charles Leclerc in his wake. Without forgetting great performances like his podiums in Monaco or Monza.
« This season has been positive, I was able to take a step forward in my development, he believes in his column for Auto Action. I was happy to win my first victories in Formula 1 and I was pleased with the consistency of my podiums throughout the season.
The highlights are obviously Budapest and Baku, but the races in Monaco, Monza and Spa are not far behind. The middle of the season has been very good for me and these results give me a lot of confidence. »

Continue in 2025
Now, the Australian must confirm this trend as he has had a downturn after his success in Azerbaijan. While he was always able to play for points, he was more discreet at the end of the season and especially far from the pace of his garage neighbour. A fact of which he is aware but which does not really worry him for the future.
« I feel like I'm on the right track in terms of driving.he says. After two seasons in F1, there is still a lot to come and I am very excited for the future.. » Here is a boy who has his head screwed on his shoulders.

I don't see Piastri taking the advantage over Norris next year, don't forget that the Australian's two victories were tainted by instructions and an illegal rear wing, let him win a race fairly and we'll talk about it later

Don't forget the Aussie in 2025 because I can see him taking the measure of the "tender" Norris at McLaren. A cold-blooded animal, naturally more "killer" than his garage colleague Papaya
