The rankings for free practice this Thursday in Monaco will show that Lewis Hamilton was twice faster than his teammate Nico Rosberg, three-time defending champion. Beyond the timing aspect, the reigning double world champion admitted that tire management, with the arrival of the ultra-soft tire, remained delicate.
“Although the new tires are certainly softer than other compounds, they still feel very hard here, Hamilton points out. IIt is not so easy to put them in the usage window we want.
Overall, this is a very positive start. We achieved everything we needed to do in both sessions and our pace looks good, so let's hope that continues through the rest of the weekend. »
