US F1 promises innovative design

The new US F1 team promises a single-seater with an innovative design to stand out from the competition. Rather than copying its rivals, the American team is working on its own solutions, hoping to design a high-performance package.

Scott Bennett, one of the designers of the car American, explains the idea of the Charlotte team: “When we started designing the car, we focused on the fundamentals. The technical regulations are strict, we can no longer create a Lotus 88 or a Tyrrell P34. I had the chance to follow the birth of the car step by step and I can say that we are doing things differently compared to what has been done in recent years. »

“I can’t reveal our secrets but we bring a fresh perspective with different solutions. We will quickly know if we started on the right side. Our car will not be a clone of another team. Did you know that we are the only team to design our own gearbox? »

Three test sessions are scheduled in Alabama before crossing the Atlantic to meet the other teams in Barcelona to participate in the final test session with Bahrain.
