Valencia wants a new contract for its GP

Among the measures envisaged, the community of Valencia wants to reduce the costs of major events organized on its territory and the European Grand Prix is ​​directly targeted here. Jose Ciscar, the vice-president of the Generalitat Valenciana, wants to negotiate a new contract with Bernie Ecclestone so that this event can continue on the calendar of the F1.

“Major events are studied closely, they are no longer as essential”, assures the vice-president. “These events have had significant value until now but circumstances force us to have priorities. We cannot rule anything out but we cannot afford to be reckless because the contracts have already been signed and financial losses could cost us even more. We will have to find balanced solutions. »
