Valtteri Bottas: Lots of qualities in the FW37

Officially presented this morning in Jerez just before the start of the first Spanish winter tests, the Williams FW37, entrusted this Sunday to Valtteri Bottas, encountered no major problems during the 73 loops completed by the Finn, despite a delayed start this morning. “The day started slowly, but ended up being great. We didn't have a single problem with the FW37, which is impressive for the first day with a new car. We started with short stints, before some long runs this afternoon, including a run which was important again considering it's only the first day. The car was consistent, so it’s a really good start to the week and we’re happy that it’s a step above the car we had at the end of last season. »

Valtteri Bottas, who will find his car tomorrow, also knows that the bulk of the work remains to come to extract the potential of Grove's latest addition. “We know we have a lot to learn, but we also know where those gains can come from. We will work on the performance of the car and the Power Unit. There are a lot of qualities in this car and we made good progress in just one day. »
