Valtteri Bottas: “I think more about the team, and less about myself”

Valtteri Bottas, the summer break is always an opportunity for an initial assessment. Is it positive in your case? 

Largely positive, from all points of view. The joint journey with the team is only just beginning, and it promises great discoveries. Strictly in terms of results, the results could be better. We dropped quite a few points along the way due to reliability issues, but the areas where we can improve are clearly identified. We know the weaknesses of the car, where we can act to improve it. I wouldn’t have the same optimism for the future if we were in the unknown; which is not the case.
