Valtteri Bottas failed to complete the perfect lap in Melbourne

Third behind his teammate Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari SF70H Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas does not hide a certain disappointment after qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix.

The old pilot Williams was unable to contain the German from Scuderia Ferrari, who took advantage of his last lap in Q3 to steal second place on the starting grid, and prevent a one-two finish for the Silver Arrows on the Melbourne grid.

But more than the raw result, it is the manner that leaves a taste of unfinished business for Bottas. “Third is not ideal. Overall, I'm not happy with the result., recognizes Bottas. For my part, I almost never achieved perfect laps, so I'm not satisfied. »

The Finn, however, remains hopeful of doing well tomorrow morning on the Albert Park track, but knows that he will have to achieve a perfect start at the start. “Sunday is the day that counts,” recalls Bottas. It seems like we were pretty comfortable during the start procedure testing, so hopefully we can keep that going for tomorrow. »
