All drivers entered in Q3 will undoubtedly remember that this final part of Italian qualifying will remain one of the worst episodes of the season.

To Valtteri Bottas, the pill seems difficult to swallow, the Finn of Mercedes believing he was in a position to take pole against Charles Leclerc, hero of an entire trans nationalpine after placing his SF90 in first position for tomorrow's Grand Prix.

“I was quite unlucky, and with the yellow flags at the first attempt in the last sector (following the exit of Kimi Räikkönen), I was forced to take my foot off, comments the former pilot Williams.

I think I missed the pole with that. In the last run, it was really a mess for everyone, but I'm happy to be at the front because it's tomorrow that counts. It's annoying when it's within your reach, but it could have been a lot worse today. »

It didn't make any difference to the circuit boundaries because people exit before, so it was in the wrong place and obviously at the wrong height. I'm sure a lesson was learned. »
