Valtteri Bottas stays at Mercedes in 2020
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Mercedes had the good idea of offering a new contract to Valtteri Bottas. The Finn will play for the reigning champion team in 2020, always with his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Model teammate, luxury assistant to the Briton without making waves, Valtteri Bottas ticked all the boxes to keep his steering wheel, even if he has not won an event since Baku (Azerbaijan) in spring 2019.
Obviously, everyone in the Star clan was delighted with this news. “For 2019, we asked Valtteri to take on the challenge of coming back even stronger than at the start of 2018. He succeeded, with some truly impressive season-opening performances.”declares Toto wolff, the boss of Mercedes-AMG F1.
Representing Mercedes since 2017, Valtteri Bottas preserves the dream of becoming world champion, while supporting the victories of his leader Lewis Hamilton. « On paper, I believe in it, and from my experience in the team, Mercedes is the best option to achieve this objective in 2020.", says the Finn.
In the championship, Valtteri Bottas is behind Lewis Hamilton by 62 points and is in second place in the general classification. Nothing to worry about the five-time world champion who is heading towards a sixth coronation.
