Van der Garde: “I proved that I am a leader”

Will Giedo van der Garde still be at Caterham next year or will he leave to join another team? Unless the Dutchman is sidelined... The grid for the 2014 season will in any case have evolved significantly compared to this year and the back of the peloton is no exception. Heikki Kovalainen could make his return to the Malaysian team and the future of Charles Pic remains uncertain.

The Dutchman is in any case optimistic about his chances of having a seat for 2014 after showing progress during the last events contested. “I proved that I was a team leader, especially in the second half of the year.”, he commented on GPUpdate.net. “The team is very happy with me and the progress made. We will see, we are also in discussions with them. My management is quite busy at the moment and I hope to have good news soon. »

Regarding Caterham's performance next year, Giedo van der Garde, on the other hand, is a little more reserved. “I know they are very busy with the car next year and I heard that the progress made was quite significant. But we don't know what the other teams are doing. We will know more during the first tests next year. »
