Considering the race delivered by the two drivers Ferrari, the Tifosi could legitimately expect strong statements from the day's protagonists. However, far from wanting to burst the boil, drivers and team directors played the relaxed card.

In Miami, the first strategic incident erupted when Lewis Hamilton et Charles Leclerc Both seemed motivated by the idea of chasing Kimi Antonelli. Team boss Frédéric Vasseur was notably questioned by Canal+ about his vision after this difficult Grand Prix for the Scuderia.

"It might sound strange, but I think we did the job, Lewis was on medium at that time and Charles on hard, and Lewis certainly had a better chance of catching Antonelli., he first explained. We asked them to swap. Our internal rule is that if we don't catch the car in front, we swap again to get back to the initial position. So afterwards we can argue that we lost half a lap or a lap by doing so, but I don't think there are many teams today that have asked their drivers to swap."

Arguing in favour of the logic of the race, Frédéric Vasseur also commented on Hamilton's visible irritation at the slowness of the decision taken by the Ferrari engineers. “I had a chat with Lewis, he was a bit frustrated because he thought he could get past Charles a bit earlier, but in the end we played to our strengths, hammered the FrenchmanOur weekend wasn't about swapping positions or not."

A missed weekend even earlier according to Vasseur

Although the Miami deadline was not missed because of this unfortunate racing incident, it seems that Frédéric Vasseur believes that once again, the qualifying scenario was fatal for the team. "We didn't find the best balance. Yesterday we struggled a lot and our best lap in qualifying was on worn tires, recalled Frédéric Vasseur to Sky Sports. This is the first time this has happened in two years. It's frustrating. We have to work and solve our problems, one by one, and improve.

After another weekend in which the Scuderia once again missed the mark, the team director prefers to concentrate on the short-term future and the return of the Formula 1 in Europe within two weeks. "We'll have the opportunity to make a small step forward at Imola and there will be another step forward in Barcelona. We have to find the best compromise with the car and put everything together." he concluded, as he often does when discussing the problems of car.

Self-persuasion by Frédéric Vasseur! For the couch potato analysts that we are, the time taken to decide whether to reverse positions seemed excessively long (unless the pit wall sees another race), but I really liked the "so British" humor of Sir Gold Lives Matter in this Florida sequence!

Too much reaction time twice! They should have let Hamilton go right away, then Leclerc when the tough guys became more efficient. We have trouble managing egos and the press in this team! It's historic for them, the bling bling side surely! But we're making noise for nothing because the real problem is the big lack of rhythm that doesn't catch up with Mercedes and under the threat of Williams! A red calf the machina! Having changed a car that was winning at the end of last year (the front suspensions for 2 year!) is their main mistake, besides the performance problem this season, it's less time for 1. I'd be curious to know who had this good idea! As long as the "Gazetta dello Sport" runs the team, it will remain a mess and that's good and deserved!

Ferrari's mistake, not yours Mr. Vasseur, it's the circus with the arrival of Hamilton....and all the tifosis of Italy were inflamed...but the soufflé fell! And it is not with Lewis, but aging that Ferrari will restore its image in 2025. And if you keep him for 2026, it will be a disaster until the moment when perhaps Charles will look elsewhere, and then.....
