Ferrari is preparing for a major upheaval in 2025. The arrival of Lewis Hamilton à Maranello – which some consider to be the transfer of the century – will change the situation next year. The seven-time world champion will try to write his legend in the great book of the Italian team by attempting to win an eighth world crown. However, at the Scuderia, Charles Leclerc has been well established there since 2019 and is aiming for a first title in Formula 1Two hungry drivers, two talented drivers, two ambitious drivers: for Frédéric Vasseur, director of Scuderia Ferrari, the two men will know how to build a relationship and a healthy rivalry that will take the team to the top.
“It’s always a challenge. (…) Between Charles and Carlos we had some difficult moments – like in Monza in 2023 or in Las Vegas in 2024 – but in the end I think it was beneficial for the team’s performance., stressed the French leader during the Christmas lunch organized by Ferrari in Fiorano. Charles and Lewis, I'm not particularly worried about that. They have a great deal of mutual respect, they know each other, they've been talking about it for months and I think it's much better to fight to finish first and second, or first and third, than to finish 1th or 2th."
Leclerc – Hamilton, a fiery duo at Ferrari
Charles Leclerc, 27, and Lewis Hamilton, 39, are at different stages of their careers but both have ambitions of becoming Ferrari's first world champion since Kimi Raikkonen won in 2007. While the Briton has lost some of his brilliance in the last three seasons with Mercedes, especially in qualifying, he remains a formidable driver in the race. Conversely, the Monegasque is still as efficient in the flying lap exercise and has improved in the race, according to Frédéric Vasseur.
“I think Charles has improved a lot in management, not just tyre management but also race management, the approach before the weekend, recognizes the boss of the Scuderia. Of course it's never perfect, and we all have to improve everywhere, but I think he's in better shape today than he was 12 months ago. We still have to work and develop him, but he's on the right track." If Lewis Hamilton manages to integrate properly at Ferrari, the duo of the Italian team could be formidable in 2025. It is still necessary that his relationship with Charles Leclerc - courteous and friendly in the paddocks until now - resists a possible war of egos.

If Hamilton manages to integrate properly at Ferrari, the Scuderia duo could be formidable in 2025 as long as the 2025 single-seater is in line with the previous one. As for a possible war of egos, it will most certainly take place if the Scuderia fights for the titles!
