Ferrari hopes to get its head back on track in Japan. At the Chinese Grand Prix, the previous meeting of the 2025 season, Formula 1, the Italian team faced technical disqualifications: Lewis Hamilton due to excessive wear of the skid plate under his car, while Charles Leclerc was disqualified for insufficient weight of his car. Incidents highlighting the crucial importance of precision in a championship as competitive as this year.
Vasseur: “In Formula 1, it’s all about the details”
« The Suzuka circuit is particularly demanding, both for the cars and for the drivers, who nevertheless appreciate the challenge of its unique and emblematic bends, declares Frédéric Vasseur, Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari. For the whole team, more than ever, we must focus on ourselves to enable Charles and Lewis to fully exploit the SF-25's potential, as so far we have only managed to do so on Fridays and in the Sprint in China. In Formula 1, it's all about the details, from race weekend preparation at the factory to execution on track and adapting to changing conditions during the race. Once we achieve this, we will have a clearer idea of where we stand. »
Frédéric Vasseur and the Maranello firm can nevertheless rely on solid performances at the start of the weekend in China where Lewis Hamilton took pole position and then won the Sprint Race, before falling back into the ranks for the rest of the season, due, according to him, to a bad choice of direction in terms of settings.

I have faith in Ferrari; they will rise to the challenge and more. May the force be with them.
