French driver Jean-Eric Vergne has not scored any points since the Montreal Grand Prix last June, but he wants to change that for his second appearance at Suzuka. In South Korea last weekend, his team Toro Rosso was in difficulty and it is with 31 units, the same total of points as Sauber, that the Italian team goes to Japanese lands.
« We struggled to find the right balance all weekend and both our cars retired due to brake problems. We changed a lot of things this weekend and we will attack to score points and overtake Sauber. A five-race season begins », specified JEV.
In the general classification, the future driver Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo is fourteenth with 18 points, 5 more than his stablemate Jean-Eric Vergne.
