Vergne and Ricciardo expected at Silverstone

While the career of pilots Toro Rosso is in the process of being decided at the moment when Red Bull Racing looking for a replacement for Mark Webber for 2014, Jean-Eric Vergne is going through a bad patch. After two finishes in the top ten in Monaco and Montreal, the Frenchman suffered two retirements at Silverstone (delamination) and at the Nürburgring (hydraulics). However, unlike his compatriot Romain Grosjean, the French driver should be able to resume the Pirelli tests carried out during the rookie tests at Silverstone between July 17 and 19 where he expects the Faenza team to field its two starting drivers even if the Italian team does not has not yet communicated officially.

“For now, I’m going to put the Nürburgring behind me and move forward,” explains JEV on the Toro Rosso website. “Although I'm tempted to say that the first place I want to go is Lourdes for a little prayer, the Silverstone young drivers test will be the first appointment marked on my diary. Daniel and I should be racing there, even if the team has not yet made its exact program official. I hope to find answers there, particularly regarding what we should expect from the new Pirelli tires that the drivers will be riding with. We will have 2013 mixes made with the 2012 builds and it will be interesting to see how they perform. »
