Towards a change of attitude at Mercedes?

To Toto wolff, co-executive director of Mercedes, had announced that his team would not give orders to Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. However, the German explains that this position could change if other teams return to the forefront.

“There might be situations where you can't waste time in battle if you have your enemy on your tail, Wolff told the BBC. Bahrain was a very special situation because our package worked well there. So it was easier to make a decision in the interest of the race because you know you have the margin on 3rd. Our rule is that the competition is the number one enemy, not your teammate, so there might be situations where you have to take that into account, but we'll see what happens. »

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg offered the Bahraini public a superb battle at the end of the race on the Sakhir track. Mercedes has won the first four rounds of the season, including three consecutive victories since Malaysia for the 2008 World Champion at the wheel of the W05.
