Verstappen improves the mark in Sochi

Max Verstappen (Red Bull) improved the mark by more than a second in FP2 of the Russian GP in Sochi. The Dutchman was more than 3 tenths ahead of the Ferrari de Charles Leclerc, author of the best time of the morning, while the Mercedes de Valtteri Bottas et Lewis Hamilton remained discreet by preceding the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel which completes the Top 5.

Lewis Hamilton gave himself a big scare by narrowly avoiding the Red Bull ofAlexander albon in slow motion. The Thai who had already lost time by damaging his flat bottom only took 6th place, far behind Pierre Gasly (Toro Rosso) 6th.

Nico Hulkenberg (Renault) took 8th position between the Racing Point of Sergio Pérez and Lance stroll. Lando Norris (McLaren) ranked at the gates of the Top 10 ahead of Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) and Kevin Magnussen (Haas).

Romain Grosjean (Haas) took 16th position behind Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) and Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo). The Frenchman was ahead Carlos Sainz Jr (McLaren), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) and the Williams by George Russell and Robert Kubica.
