Verstappen: “It will become real racing again”

Max Verstappen supported the measures proposed by the F1 Strategy Group. One the pilot Toro Rosso having only competed in 5 Grands Prix in his career, the Dutchman can easily compare his era with that of his father Jos who raced in the premier single-seater championship between 1994 and 2003.

The rookie hopes in particular that measures such as the return of refueling or the free choice of tires will strengthen the impact of the strategies. “I am satisfied with these proposals”, recognised the protégé of Red Bull in the newspaper De Telegraaf. “These changes will give teams more opportunities to make a difference. Strategy will be even more important. »

Despite his lack of experience, Max Verstappen was quickly able to put his finger on some of the current problems of the F1 which harm the show. “We have to think too often about management in our piloting. It will become real racing again”, assured the Dutchman.

The measures proposed by the F1 Strategy Group will be submitted to the F1 Commission and the F1 World Council which will be held on July 10 in Mexico.
