Verstappen tests the new Aston Martin Vantage

Aston Martin recently invited Max Verstappen to come and try the future Vantage which will be marketed next year on the Rockingham circuit (Great Britain). The Red Bull driver thus took advantage of the partnership between the Milton Keynes and the British manufacturer.

“We came to do a test session with a renowned test driver in the person of Max Verstappen. We have not finished development, but his feedback will be useful to us to continue the final stages », Explains Matt Becker, chief engineer of the brand, in the video.

“It looks very aggressive and stands out significantly from previous models. I particularly like the rear diffuser. I'm not used to driving with the steering wheel on the right, but the car is very easy to control. In any case, it’s very sporty and fun to drive.”, confirmed Max Verstappen.

The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is built on a new aluminum platform and thus gains weight and rigidity. This new model will retain a V8 but its displacement will increase from 4,3 to 4l which should develop around 500hp. The official presentation will be made on November 21. The GTE version which will be entered in WEC next year was flushed out in testing at Sebring (Florida).
