Vettel: 'It's not fair'

Sebastian Vettel was well on his way to ending the winning streak of Mercedes since the start of the season. The pilot Ferrari who started on pole for the Canadian GP retained the advantage over the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton until the finish of the race, but the four-time world champion lost the race receiving a 5-second penalty for returning to the track in front of his rival after a slight error.

“No, no no, not like that. Not that way, no, no and no, expressed Sebastian Vettel in his radio. Seriously, you have to be absolutely blind to believe that you can go into the grass and then keep control of the car. I was lucky not to hit the wall! Where was I supposed to go? It is not fair. »

Stopped at the pit entrance after the finish, Sebastian Vettel arrived without a car in front of the podium where he moved the position board where first place was written. Like a symbol. The German nevertheless maintained his calm.

“Where was I supposed to go?” », he asked Lewis Hamilton in the “cool room”.

Sebastian Vettel received the support of the public who applauded him and whistled his rival on the podium.

“The public should not whistle at Lewis, they have nothing to do with it. It is rather the decision that must be criticized”, said the German. A fine player, the championship leader invited him to the top step of the podium. The public voted Sebastian Vettel driver of the day. Small consolation.
