Vettel: Every season gets more difficult

Sebastian Vettel had to fight a tough battle against Fernando Alonso to win his third consecutive title but the German managed to maintain his composure when all seemed lost to secure the Championship. The pilot Red Bull aged just 25 became at Interlagos the youngest triple world champion in the history of the F1. The one we nickname Baby Schumi makes a perfect transition with the final retirement of Michael Schumacher and will maintain its favorite status for the next season where Red Bull should keep its performance advantage with the stability of the regulations.

However, the Red Bull driver admitted that the expectations raised by his performances make the Championship increasingly difficult to approach and that it is more complicated to stay at the top than to get there. “I said after the race (in Brazil) that it is more difficult to win when you have already won”, underlines the German. “You have to deal with the attention and the pressure and then focus on the next victory rather than the slight progress you need to make to get there. The pressure becomes increasingly strong at the end of the season depending on everyone's chances of winning titles in the last few races... We can't stop others from trying absolutely everything to beat us. There may be a bit of rumour, some things may be said, others may happen eye for eye without a word being said, without it being mentioned anywhere. It's not easy to stay focused in this context, it's even very difficult. »
