Vettel wins his 4th title by winning the Indian GP

Sebastian Vettel became a quadruple world champion at the age of 26 at the end of the Indian Grand Prix, which he won from pole. The Red Bull driver takes his 6th consecutive victory after fighting for victory against his teammate Mark Webber who was on a different strategy before the Australian retired following an alternator problem. Nevertheless, the 25 champion's 2013 points are enough to offer the Manufacturers' title to Red Bull Racing. Nico Rosberg took 2nd place, finishing half a minute behind the winner. Romain Grosjean completes the podium thanks to a superb strategy put in place by Lotus who attempted a one-stop race for the Frenchman who only started from 17th place on the grid and who signed his 3rd consecutive podium.

Felipe Massa finished in 4th place after putting pressure on the Lotus driver at the end of the race. Sergio Pérez completes the top five ahead Lewis Hamilton. Kimi Räikkönen followed the same strategy as his teammate, but the Finn found himself in agony with his tires in the final laps and had to pit to finally finish in 7th position. The Force Indias of Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil are ahead of the Toro Rosso de Daniel Ricciardo which completes the top ten.

Fernando Alonso had a disastrous race and finally finished just outside the points. The pilot of the Team had to immediately change strategy after having to pit immediately to change his damaged front wing following contact with Mark Webber while starting on medium tires. The Australian was no luckier as he retired with an alternator problem while he was able to compete for victory against Sebastian Vettel. Jean-Eric Vergne finished 13th between Pastor Maldonado and Jenson Button who quickly fell to the back of the peloton.
