Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) achieved the benchmark of the morning on the last day of testing F1 in Barcelona (Spain). The German set a time of 1'22"852 on the SF16-H, a few hundredths off his teammate Kimi Räikkönen's time, but the four-time world champion achieved this performance on super soft tires. The German driver also tested the Halo at the start of the session.

La Mercedes W07 Hybrid stopped on track a few minutes before the break following a transmission problem. The reliability of the Silver Arrow remains impressive since the car de Brackley completed 1200 laps on the Catalunya circuit. After setting the fourth fastest time of the morning on medium tires, Lewis Hamilton will give way to his teammate Nico Rosberg this afternoon.

Carlos Sainz Jr. (Toro Rosso) was the closest to Sebastian Vettel by putting on the ultra-soft tires. The Spaniard is six tenths ahead of Sergio Pérez (Force India). Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) completes the top five ahead of Jenson Button (McLaren), Jolyon Palmer (Renault) and Marcus Ericsson (Sauber).

Romain Grosjean (Haas) was able to make up for some of the time lost at the start of the week by completing 52 laps on the VF-16. The Frenchman who finished ahead of Felipe Massa (Williams) will be replaced by his teammate Esteban Gutiérrez this afternoon.

Rio Haryanto (Manor) is the only driver not to have achieved a time. A mechanical problem occurred at the start of the session on the MRT05.
