Vettel and Webber explained

Red Bull Racing gathered his staff this Thursday, in order to bring Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, and escape the spiral of resentment, following their collision on Sunday during the Turkish Grand Prix (see video). Thus, Christian Horner, team principal, Adrian Newey, technical director, and Dr Helmut Marko, advisor to Dietrich Mateschitz, big boss of Red Bull, were present around the two drivers this Thursday. The team declares that this interview was “ positive » and everyone is now focused on the Canadian Grand Prix.

« The team put us in a great situation, and what happened is not good for them, explains Sebastian Vettel. I'm sorry that we lost the lead. Mark and are pilots and we were flying. We are also professionals and this will not change anything in the way we work. We have a great team and the spirit is excellent. I am now impatiently waiting for Canada. »

« It?s a shame for the team, comments Mark Webber for his part. We lost a good opportunity to win the race. It?s sport and these kinds of things can happen. But it shouldn't have. Seb and I will be careful that this doesn't happen again. Now, we've talked about it enough, it's over. It now makes us focus on the Canada race next week. »

However, even if tensions are now appeased - apparently -, Sunday's clash could leave deeper traces. Because, more than an accident, Red Bull especially left a lot of points on the Istanbul circuit. The Milton Keynes team could regret it at the end of the season.
