Vettel and Webber want to avoid the duel

Red Bull, this season, will have lost points on numerous occasions. The stable of Milton Keynes also fueled controversies, following the clash between Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel during the Turkish Grand Prix, then during the British Grand Prix, when Sebastian Vettel took the front wing from Mark Webber. The latter, after having imposed himself, had made it known to his stable, and in public, that he was not happy with the fate which had been reserved for him.

But, at Hockenheim, the two drivers want to avoid confrontation. Although it is clear that they have the best car in the field, the two men first want to take back the reins of the championship before competing for race victories and the world title.

This is what Sebastian Vettel says before racing in front of his audience. “ The question is not how I should beat my teammate this weekend, explains the German pilot. There are other drivers to beat as well. We need to have a solid weekend. We have a competitive car which should help us there. The team is motivated and the atmosphere is good. We want to win and, to do that, we have to beat others and not just my teammate. »

For his part, Mark Webber pursues the same objective. He says he has nothing to reproach his teammate. “ I have no problem with Sebastian. What happened at Silverstone is not his responsibility. We are now treated the same way in the team and I do not want to continue in this situation. » But, during the German Grand Prix, and if the two men start on the front row again, their duel will be the most observed. For Red Bull, it is better that the two drivers are on equal terms this time.
