Vettel 'has great memories of the Red Bull Ring'

Sebastian Vettel is preparing to compete in the national Grand Prix of his team at Red Bull Ring in Austria. The four-time world champion, who won his second podium of the season in Montreal, will have to respond to his teammate Daniel Ricciardo who scored the first victory of his career on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. “I have great memories of the Red Bull Ring. I was 13 years old when I discovered this circuit when I had the chance to drive a Formula car from the Auinger family. It's a great moment when you come from karting. It was something completely new that took me a while to get used to. I'm very happy that we're coming back to ride here. »

The Red Bull driver seems to appreciate this track which no longer hosted the F1 for more than ten years. “This circuit is very beautiful, both the track and the surroundings”, underlines the German. “The route is in the middle of a natural landscape. There aren't many distractions there, it's just about racing. The Red Bull Ring is a small circuit (4,326km), with only a few turns (nine in total), but is nevertheless very difficult. There are numerous climbs and descents, which makes the route both interesting and fun. Spectators will have a great time because each stand offers a magnificent view of the circuit. »
