Vettel: “I overreacted”

Two weeks after Baku and a few days after his summons to the FIA, Sebastian Vettel expressed his vision of the incident in a press conference in the presence of Lewis Hamilton as well as Kevin Magnussen.

« I think we've all seen the pictures, comments the German. I had a very different view from the car. I made a statement on Monday, I was able to quickly speak to Lewis after the race but I don't want to add more. What we said to each other will stay between us."

The pilot Ferrari had received 10 seconds of stop and go during the race, relegating him to 4e place at the finish in front of the driver Mercedes

« I had a penalty during the race which hurt my chances of victory, but I couldn't have guessed that Lewis would have headrest problems. Coming up to him at the restart was a bad decision.

“I couldn't help but get into his car when he slowed down, and I know there was no bad intention and he wasn't doing a brake test. It's a racing fact, there's nothing I can do about it. »
