Vettel: Victory was possible

For the third time in a row, Sebastian Vettel did not win at the end of the race, even though he had won six of the first eight races of the season. The Championship leader is still doing well since he now has an 85-point lead over his teammate Mark Webber, only fifth in the race.

However, the World Champion is not really satisfied with his race. “Victory was within our reach”, assures the pilot Red Bull. “It's a good race in the Championship because I score more points than all the other drivers except Jenson. But I'm not 100% happy. I started from pole and victory was possible, the drivers making small mistakes. »

But what concerns the German above all is the return to the forefront of McLaren, who signs his second victory in a row. “The most important message is that McLaren has been very competitive in these last two races. We will have to come back to Spa. We are making good points, but there is still a long way to go. We know things can change very quickly and we need to make sure we see the checkered flag (at every race). »
