Vettel: The lead is not that big

With 11 Grands Prix to contest this season, Sebastian Vettel Despite everything, seems to be too far ahead in the Championship to be caught by his opponents. However, the World Champion recalls that history has often shown that the situation can change quickly.

“You can never know”, says Sebastian Vettel. “If you look at past Championships, it reminds you that the situation can change quickly. All it takes is two or three bad races and it would be a whole different story. We already saw this last year with the points system. You have a good gap, but a good number misleads you because a victory is worth 25 points compared to zero if you don't finish. »

Sebastian Vettel insists his motivation remains intact despite his lead. “You want to prove to yourself that you are good enough to be at the top level and win the Championship. If I compare this season to last year, I approach the races in almost the same way. It would be a mistake to think you are safe. »
