Vettel: The unknown is a risk

With only the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix remaining this season, Sebastian Vettel is aware that he has undoubtedly had the hardest year of his career. Beaten by his teammate Daniel Ricciardo which has three victories, the quadruple world champion failed to showcase itself with the RB6's 1.6l turbo/hybrid V10. The German did not appreciate this change of engine at all.

“We are obviously considering all hypotheses. We suddenly lose two cylinders and it’s no longer you but a computer that restarts the car”, commented the pilot Red Bull on Auto Motor und Sport. “We wonder how this is still racing. But what is the alternative? The single-seaters become slower but remain the most efficient. »

Sebastian Vettel is now preparing to begin a new chapter, most likely with the Team Ferrari, even if it arrives in full domination of Mercedes. “I hope to make an announcement soon but you still have to be patient”, added the German. “I am aware that I will face a big challenge, particularly given the current competitiveness of Mercedes. It’s a leap into the unknown and therefore a risk. »
