Vettel: Mercedes will be back

Sebastian Vettel set the new Monaco circuit record by completing a lap in 1'12''720 during the second practice session. With Kimi Räikkönen in 3rd place just behind the Red Bull RB13 Daniel Ricciardo, Scuderia Ferrari shows promising performances for the rest of the weekend while the team of Maranello has no longer established itself in the Principality since the success of Michael Schumacher in 2001.

“It’s only Thursday. There is still time, nuance Sebastian Vettel. I don't know what happened to Mercedes, but they will definitely be back in force on Saturday. It will be tight, including with Red Bull. The important thing is to be comfortable behind the wheel, it's more useful than a time achieved in a practice session. »

“I was quite satisfied with the afternoon session, specifies Sebastian Vettel. I was a little rough this morning touching the rail a few times. It went better in the second session. There's still work to do, but it's certainly more fun this year with the faster cars. »
