Vettel put Mercedes under pressure at the Chinese GP

Sebastian Vettel signed his third podium in a row with the Team Ferrari by taking 3rd place at the Chinese GP. The four-time world champion retained the advantage over the Williams at the start and remained a few seconds behind Mercedes de Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg while maintaining a sufficient gap to his teammate Kimi Räikkönen.

If the quadruple world champion did not have a high enough pace to attack Nico Rosberg, he was at least able to put pressure on his compatriot as proven the tensions felt between Mercedes drivers at the end of the Chinese GP. The German is Lewis Hamilton's closest rival in the Championship with 13 points behind, four more than Rosberg.

“It was a good race.”, rejoices Sebastian Vettel, winner of the Malaysian GP. “I was a little closer to the Mercedes with the soft tires and I was able to put pressure on them. We tried to stop early for my last stint, but they were a little too fast with the medium tires and they were able to escape. I preferred to secure the podium which is a great success for the team. »
