Vettel couldn't do more

Sebastian Vettel was the best of the rest in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix. The pilot of the Team Ferrari qualified third behind the Mercedes de Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg by being half a second behind the new lap record set by the three-time world champion.

“We have to ask them why the gap is so significant”, replied Sebastian Vettel at a press conference when asked why the SF16-Hs were so far behind in Melbourne.

“We have made progress but not enough to get closer. The car was very good in qualifying and I couldn't have gone much faster. There car was competitive on all portions of the circuit. I hope to experience a race similar to that of Melbourne”, added the German who will start in front of his teammate Kimi Räikkönen.
