Vettel doesn't want team instructions

Sebastian Vettel made it known that he did not intend to benefit from the help of his teammate Kimi Räikkönen to win his battle for the title against Lewis Hamilton. If the Team Ferrari has sometimes seemed to favor the four-time world champion, notably at the Monaco GP where the German was able to take the lead by benefiting from a better strategy, the German assures that he wants to fight fairly with the champion of the world 2007.

“We don’t need team instructions and (Kimi Räikkönen) wouldn’t agree to follow them anyway, said Sebastian Vettel at a press conference in Monza (Italy). We fought against each other all year. I heard or read that he defended me at the Hungarian GP. He can set things right if we ask him. If he had had an opportunity to overtake me, he would have taken it and that's normal. »

Sebastian Vettel must seize every opportunity, however, Mercedes now raising the possibility of using team instructions to favor Lewis Hamilton in the Championship.

“I don't know what the other teams are doing, but we're just going full throttle. We can always anticipate different situations but it never happens as planned”, assured Sebastian Vettel.
