Vettel was unhappy with the RB7

By achieving the 14th pole of the season, Sebastian Vettel equals the record held by Nigel Mansell since 1992. However, the German seemed to lack pace during free practice on Friday. Red Bull managed to rectify the situation to offer the reigning champion a car allowing him to win the 29th pole of his career.

“I wasn?t happy with my car yesterday, we thought the single-seater offered better performance”, confides the pole sitter of the Abu Dhabi GP. “It was a little better during the last free practice session but this circuit is complicated because the conditions are very changeable. The car and tires react differently when evening arrives. I was more comfortable with the soft tires during qualifying. »
