Vettel: “We can do something”

Sebastian Vettel will be a great threat for Lewis Hamilton at the start of the Australian GP. The pilot of the Team Ferrari took the front row finishing less than 3 tenths behind the Mercedes W08 from the pole sitter.

“We have a good car and things are progressing well, commented Sebastian Vettel after qualifying for the Australian GP. We had a mixed day yesterday, but I was already comfortable behind the wheel and that was confirmed today. I wasn't happy with my last lap as I was more successful at the end than the beginning, but Lewis set a very good time and I don't think pole was within our reach. »

Vettel bets on the start

Sebastian Vettel now hopes to make the same start as last year in Melbourne where the Ferraris managed to take the advantage over the Mercedes.

“We can do something tomorrow. Our speed should be much better than the day before when we were still testing, added Sebastian Vettel. We didn't really have things in hand in previous years, but I hope that we will make the same start as last year, this time starting from 2nd position. With Kimi (Räikkönen) 4th, we should be able to threaten Mercedes from the first corner, but the race lasts a little longer than that and everything is new this year. »

Sebastian Vettel took the lead in the Australian GP last year after starting from 3rd position but subsequently had to give in to the Mercedes W07 Hybrid of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
