Vettel remains in favor of current weekend format

Mentioned on numerous occasions, the possible modification of the format of the Grands Prix in F1 could be a subject of discussion once again activated after the takeover of the discipline by Liberty Media and the multiple surveys of the public.

A subject that does not seem to meet with the support of the pilot Ferrari Sebastian Vettel, as the main party indicated at a press conference this Thursday in China. “When we talked about the format of the race, I think it would not be good to get rid of one race, one grand prix.

I think it would take away from the highlight of the weekend by putting two races or making the race shorter because people say it's too boring and it lasts too long.

I think this is how the Grand Prix should be: this is how it has always been. It was even longer in the past, if you look far back, and it should remain a challenge.

Make it shorter, more exciting, or whatever, I think it wouldn't be a Grand Prix anymore. So to give you an answer, I'm a little skeptical of having change for change's sake. »
