Si Sebastian Vettel was unable to defend his title at the Race of Champions in Miami (Florida) by failing in the qualifying heats this Saturday, January 21, the driver of the Team recovered magnificently during the Nations Cup by winning his 8 races. The German played alone against teams of two following the withdrawal of his compatriot Pascal Wehrlein following his accident the day before.

The four-time world champion F1 beat Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Tom Kristensen and Petter Solberg in the qualifying heats before getting rid of Juan Pablo Montoya, the winner of the day before, and Gabby Chaves in the semi-finals.

Sebastian Vettel had to face Team America made up of brothers Kyle and Kurt Busch in the final. The old pilot Red Bull needed only two starts to win the Nations Cup by beating the two champions of the Nascar.

The German driver thus offered the 7th victory to Team Germany, but it is the first time that he has been acquired without Michael Schumacher.
