Sebastian Vettel still had to bow to Lewis Hamilton at the end of qualifying for the Brazilian GP with a gap of 93 thousandths, but the driver's day Ferrari is still far from over since he will be summoned to the stewards at 19:45 p.m. (Paris time) to explain an incident that occurred during a weigh-in.

The stewards indicated that the four-time world champion had left his engine running. These measurements must normally be taken with the engine off so as not to have vibrations disrupting the measurements. The statement said the Ferrari driver also damaged the weighbridge.
At the end of qualifying, Sebastian Vettel remained measured in his comments.
“It will be better if I do not comment on the commissioners' investigation. I got angry because I wanted the commissioner to hurry up. They shouldn't call us for the weigh-in under these circumstances. I think it's unfair if someone gets called out," explained the German.
The latter was in fact slowed down by being blocked by a block placed in front of the weighbridge serving as a weigher. However, the Scuderia driver wanted to quickly return to his pit since this measurement had been carried out at the end of Q2.
His rival Lewis Hamilton could also be under investigation. The pilot Mercedes hampered Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari) and Sergey Sirotkin (Williams), even forcing the Russian to make a sudden swerve to avoid a collision. Commissioners have not yet indicated they are opening an investigation into the incidents.
