The winter tests are now over, and the least we can say is that Red Bull seems to be in a strong position again this season. The Austrian team impressed with its reliability but above all with its speed.
At the end of the three days of testing on the Sakhir circuit (Bahrain), it was Sergio Pérez who set the absolute best time in the pre-season tests. The Mexican was the fastest in 1'30″305, with C4 tires. For comparison, that's two tenths faster than pole position Charles Leclerc in 2022 (1'30″558). A ride with remarkable stability: Sergio Pérez makes very little correction to his mount, a sign of the excellent stability of the RB19.

Over the three days of testing, Red Bull was able to complete 413 laps. There is no doubt that Christian Horner's team will be favorite again this season and for the next Grand Prix, which will take place on the same circuit in Bahrain on March 5.
