VIDEO – The summary of the qualifications of the Spanish GP

On the Barcelona circuit this Saturday, Charles Leclerc signed his 3e pole position for the season after lively qualifying. Having made a mistake during his first attempt in Q3, the Monegasque then only had one flying lap to set a time. Ultimately, the pilot Ferrari beaten down Max Verstappen by 3 tenths even if the latter was unable to improve his mark at the end of the session due to a new problem with his power unit.
This Sunday, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen will start in front Carlos Sainz, George Russell and Sergio Pérez who completed the Top 5 of these qualifications. With a Mercedes W13 more stable and more efficient, Lewis Hamilton will leave 6e with the hope of going back up to sign a 2e podium this season after the one obtained in Bahrain at the opening.
For the French, these qualifications were somewhat complicated. Alpine could not place its drivers in Q3 with a 12e place for Esteban Ocon and a 17e for Fernando Alonso eliminated prematurely in Q1. Pierre Gasly, in difficulty with his car since the start of the weekend, could not do better than 14e in Spain.
