VIDEO – Norris wins the election for best overtaking of the season

As we slowly recover from a historic end to the season, F1 launched this Thursday the competition for the best overtaking of the season. On the program, two semi-finals followed logically by the final. In the running for this honorary title? Pretty customers like Lando Norris (Italian Grand Prix on Charles Leclerc), Charles Leclerc (Austrian Grand Prix on Esteban Ocon), Max Verstappen (Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Lewis Hamilton) and Kimi Räikkönen (United States Grand Prix on Fernando Alonso).

Opposed in the semi-final to Kimi Räikkönen, Lando Norris won his duel against the Finn after the votes of Internet users (58,9% against 41,1%). As a reminder, the Englishman was selected for his daring overtaking of Charles Leclerc at the Curva Grande in Monza.

Arriving in the final, the pilot McLaren found himself facing Max Verstappen, winner of the face-to-face match between him and Charles Leclerc in the semi-final thanks to his overtaking of Lewis Hamilton on the last lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Once again called to vote, the fans mostly sided with Lando Norris rather than the Batavian. At the end of the count, the votes were in favor of the Briton with 53,8% of the votes against 46,2% for his rival. “Wow, my first victory in F1,” the main person subsequently quipped on Twitter.
