Former team boss Frank Williams died this Sunday, November 28 at the age of 79. The Briton, keen on motorsport, took his own structure to the top of the Formula 1 through nine Manufacturers’ titles and seven Drivers’ crowns.
In 2019, on the sidelines of the British Grand Prix, Formula 1 concocted a little surprise for him to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of his team. Sir Frank Williams, knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1986, took his place alongside a certain Lewis Hamilton aboard a Mercedes-AMG S63.
The on-board camera tour shows the enthusiasm that still animated the former sports director, as well as the admiration of the then five-time world champion driver towards his elder brother.
The entire editorial team sends its sincere condolences to the family, loved ones and friends of Frank Williams.
