Vijay Mallya: “Everything to gain in Abu Dhabi”

With 34 points behind McLaren on the verge of the season finale, fifth place in the Manufacturers' championship will be difficult to achieve for Vijay Mallya's team. But the owner of Force India does not intend to abdicate without a fight.

“It won’t be easy, but we’ll give it our all, and we’ll see if it’s enough. Whatever happens in Abu Dhabi, we are assured of sixth place, so there is nothing to lose, but everything to gain, Mallya explains. We are usually competitive on the Yas Marina Circuit. »

The boss of the Indian team also remains very satisfied with the season of his drivers Nico Hulkenberg, who was confirmed for 2015, and Sergio Pérez.

“I think we can be proud. We have overcome big challenges with the start of a new era in F1, and we built a competitive car. We returned to the podium (with Pérez in Bahrain, Editor’s note) and I think we have a pair of drivers who stimulate each other, as well as the whole team in every race. In 2014 we scored the most points in team history, and we want to build on that for 2015.”
