Vijay Mallya aims for more podiums

Powered by V6 turbo/hybrid Mercedes, the Force India VJM07s achieved some success in this 2014 season. We obviously remember Sergio Pérez's podium in Bahrain for the third round of the year. The Mexican could also have achieved other good results, particularly in Canada.

For his part, the German Nico Hulkenberg, failing to be on the podium this season, remains flawlessly consistent, with ten races in the points out of ten possible, the only one with Fernando Alonso to have scored on each outing. With 100 points on the clock, Force India has made significant progress compared to 2014, but its boss wants even more.

“The team can be proud of their performance. We have 39 more points compared to last year, and we are in the middle of an intense fight for the championship, says Vijay Mallya. The development of the car continues, and a lot of what we learn this year will be useful for 2015. We have improvements coming to the car which should take another step forward in terms of performance. I think other podiums are possible. We have to finish the season, like we started it. »

Hülkenberg and Pérez will return to the track this Friday for the first free practice sessions for the Hungarian Grand Prix, which will be followed live on AUTOhebdo.fr.
