Villeneuve: Räikkönen should perhaps stop

Kimi Räikkönen continues to suffer within the Team Ferrari. With only 19 points scored in the first eight Grands Prix, Iceman is only in 12th place in the Championship, 60 points behind his teammate. Fernando Alonso who has dominated him since the start of the season. If the Scandinavian probably needs time to adapt after having distinguished himself at Lotus F1 Team, its performances remain behind the potential of its car.

Jacques Villeneuve spoke in the columns of OmniCorse.it on the lack of results from the new Ferrari driver whose best result this season is a seventh place achieved in Melbourne and Barcelona. The 1997 world champion is not kind to the Finn, only tenth in the Austrian Grand Prix while his Asturian teammate finished fifth. “Kimi doesn’t know how to drive with finesse. For him, it's all in or nothing. He has spun many times this year as if he was still in F3. If he can't do his job properly in F1, maybe he should go home. He is a very experienced driver and he should not be making excuses every race as if he were a young rookie. He should only need two or three races to adapt his driving and there is a problem if he doesn't succeed. We can't continue like this and make excuses when we are world champion. »
