Since 2014, the Power Unit in a Renault / Alpine was not really successful while he had more with Red Bull despite a very complicated start in 2014 then a TAG Heuer rebadging from 2016 to 2018. We should also perhaps look more towards Enstone and its "made in England" chassis! In any case, if Alpine only aims for podiums from 2027 (with a PU signed by Mercedes or other), the team has plenty of time to be sold with a nice added value... knowing that in 2030, new engine regulations could see the light of day (with the need to get out the checkbook again) while at the same time only offering battery-powered road cars or perhaps with a liquid hydrogen ICE.
