Webber fastest at the Nürburgring

In a somewhat special session, where the paddock still talks about Sébastien?s future Bourdais, the session starts very timidly. The Frenchman was also slow to return to the track, leaving Giancarlo Fisichella and Jarno Trulli to set the first times. Quickly, Mark Webber, upon his exit mid-session, took possession of the best time (1:34:444). The pilot Red Bull improves one after the other, bringing the time to 1:33:327. His young teammate, Sebastian Vettel, made his preparations for his national Grand Prix but saw his engine cut out coming out of the corner.

While the Srec of Lewis Hamilton struggling to be efficient, Mark Webber improved his time again (1:33:082), seeing Jenson Button and Felipe Massa respectively five and six tenths behind. Sebastian Vettel can, in turn, try to set a time, recovering his car five minutes from the end of the session. But, for the first free practices of his national Grand Prix, the German did not have time to achieve a great performance and had to settle for 8th time (1:33:909), more than eight tenths behind his teammate, who flew through the session. The adage says “no one is a prophet in his own country”. An adage for the moment confirmed.
